Patreon Year End Awards: MC’s Year In Dramas 2025!

My friends!

It’s that time of year again — when we pause, look back on our 2025 drama adventures, and realize… wow, we really did have a lot of feelings™. 😂

Welcome to this year’s End-of-Year Patreon Awards. What started years ago as a casual suggestion in our chat corner has grown into one of the warmest things we do together as a community. 🥲

Each post is written by a member of our Patreon community, sharing their drama year in their own voice — with heart, humor, honesty, and plenty of feels.

If you’ve missed earlier entries, you can find them here: Natalia, Kumari, Ele.

Today, MC is sharing her drama year — and it’s especially impressive given how full her schedule has been this year.

One thing I’ve realized is that MC and I have very similar drama sensibilities, except that she’s also often drawn to thrillers (something I venture into less often 😁). So if your taste tends to overlap with mine, there’s a good chance you’ll find plenty here to resonate with.

If you like MC’s style and want to know what she thought about dramas last year, you can check out her post here!

And if you’re curious about something a little different, MC also wrote about her trip to Korea — a trip she took while still recovering from a broken toe, no less! 😱 You can read that here.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Patreon Year End Awards: MC’s Year In Dramas 2024!

It’s officially EOY season, which is when we look back on our drama years, and decide which dramas were worthy of our love, and which dramas we maybe shouldn’t have spent as much time on, as we did. 😁

As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2025, after all the guest posts have been published.

This way, by putting all our experiences together, we get a more wholistic view of Dramaland in 2024. Pretty great, yes? 🤩

If you missed our earlier posts, you can check it out here: Sean, Deni+JJ, Natalia, Ele, j3ffc.

Today, I’m pleased to announce that MC’s sharing her drama year!

MC’s a busy lady, what with working full time, and being a mom, so I’m always grateful that she consistently makes time, not just for dramas, but for all of us friends over on Patreon.

MC doesn’t manage to hang out with us all the time, but when she does, she always brings a great note of cheer and positivity with her, and we all love her for it. 🥰

If you’d like to read more of MC’s writing, you might like to check out her EOY post from last year here, &/or her fun fangirl account of her trip to Korea (fresh from recovering from a broken toe, as I recall! 😱), which you can check out here.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Guest post: The Impossible Heir – A Rant!

Do y’all remember when I dropped The Impossible Heir?

Well, in an unexpected turn of events (which MC will fill you in on, in this post), my Dropped post (here!) actually somehow intrigued MC enough, that she ended up checking out – and then finishing! – the show.

Meanwhile, I found her ranting on the show so entertaining and inspired, that I asked her if she’d be willing to write a rant post on the show for us.

Y’know, to provide solidarity to others who’ve also trudged to the finish line – and also, to satisfy the morbidly curious among us (myself included 🤭)!

Thanks, MC, for taking one for the team – and then for making your suffering so entertaining. 😁

I had a whale of a time reading this, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!

KFG ❤️

PS: If you’d like to read more of MC’s writing, you could also check out her posts on: her trip to Korea, her drama origin story, &/or her 2023 year-end review.

Patreon Year End Awards: MC’s Year In Dramas 2023!

Hey everyone!

Like what we did for the past couple of years, we’re having guest posts from the lovely folks on Patreon, to help us take stock of our drama years, yay! 🥳

We’ll be seeing about 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2023, and that’s perfectly ok.

My annual year-in-review, which usually comes out in December, will also come out in January (or thereabouts 😅), after all the guest posts have been published.

If you missed our earlier posts, you can check them out as follows: Ele, Natalia, JJ, Sean, j3ffc, Uyen.

Today, I’m pleased to announce that MC is sharing her drama year.

Once upon a time, some years ago, MC mentioned in one of our conversations here on the blog, that she was about to become a mom, and while I was super happy for her, I also (secretly! And wistfully 😩😅) wondered if this was the beginning of the end, of her drama time, and therefore, our conversations.

(I mean, it’s a fair and reasonable thing to wonder, I think, since my own sister stopped watching dramas altogether, when she became a mom and had to reprioritize things in her life. 😅)

I’m SO happy that MC never left us, and today, is still such a warm and positive presence here and on Patreon, even while juggling all the other priorities in her life. Thank YOU, MC, for making us one of your priorities. ❤️🥲😘

If you’d like to read more of MC’s writing, she recently went to Korea (fresh from recovering from a broken toe, no less! 😱) and wrote about her travels in a fun guest post for us, which you can check out here.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Guest post: Korea through the eyes of a fangirl!

Yes, that’s MC.. Doesn’t she look like she’s having a grand ol’ time? 😁

Surprise, everyone! We’ve got a special guest post today! 🥳

Our very own MC went on a long-awaited (and much envied) vacation to Korea just a couple of weeks ago, and is here to share her trip with us, so that we can see Korea through her eyes, a little bit. Whee~!

Big thanks to Elaine, for suggesting the idea, and to MC, for agreeing to write this post for us! We are all so blessed to have you both! 🥰

Please enjoy.

If you’ve been around the blog for a while, you might already know that MC hails from Singapore, just like me, and is wonderfully cheerful and friendly, and just a really nice person to talk to. I’m so glad that she managed to make time for this post, despite her busy schedule. Thanks MC!

Stories from the community: MC’s story!

Surprise, everyone!!

This month, we’re going to be treated to another series of guest posts, by mystery writers from the Patreon community. Woot! (Thank you so much, you guys. I love that you all are so up for this! ❤️)

This guest series is MC‘s brainchild, and is, essentially, a sharing of stories from the community, mostly around the topic of “How did you get into dramas?” and “What does your first drama mean to you?” – with flexibility to go off on personal tangents, of course. 😁 Feel free to share your stories too, in the comments!

We will be enjoying a total of 9 guest posts over the next few weeks (yay!!); I really hope you all enjoy.

I’m especially grateful to MC for thinking of this, and volunteering to write this post, because she’s got so much on her personal plate, with her job, and her baby too. Thank you so much, MC, for making time for this, for us!! LOVE YA. 😘😘

KFG ❤️
