My friends!
It’s officially EOY season, which is when we look back on our drama years, and decide which dramas were worthy of our love, and which dramas we maybe shouldn’t have spent as much time on, as we did. 😁
As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2025, after all the guest posts have been published.
This way, by putting all our experiences together, we get a more wholistic view of Dramaland in 2024. Pretty great, yes? 🤩
Sean is kicking us off this year (thank you, Sean! ❤️).
Our resident time-and-space bender is not just amazing at watching dramas at warp speed, while still managing his many real-life responsibilities, he’s even ahead of the game, when it comes to the EOY posts!
In fact, he’d started writing his, long before I actually announced our annual EOY project, over on Patreon! 🤯
As always, Sean’s drama accomplishments this year are many and varied, which means that more than likely, you’ll learn about more than a few dramas that you might’ve never heard of otherwise. 😁
Sean also writes about management and leadership on his own blog, which you can visit here.
I hope you guys enjoy!
~ KFG ❤️
You Are About to Enter the Twilight Zone
This is my eighth year watching Asian dramas, right across the board.
In more recent times I have noticed that Cdramas are quickly closing the gap with Kdramas. Jdoramas have continued in their usual vein and Taiwanese dramas continue to transition, dealing with more serious topics.
Thai dramas are also changing. They are becoming “glossier,” and we are getting to see other types of dramas and not just Lakorns. Filipino dramas are on the rise but, at this point, I much prefer their films over their dramas.
As we know, all countries have cut back on the length of their shows. Occasionally, some still roll out a longer show (except China).
However, I have found that the shorter Kdrama format of 8, 10, 12 episodes has exposed the weakness of some productions that still insist on 16, 20 or 24 episodes. Viewers are savvy when it comes to filler episodes.
China is finally releasing many dramas from the COVID era and some of these are what is leading to closing the Kdrama gap.
China also has many minisode dramas. These are shows with episodes that are typically 10-15 minutes in length. Some of them are quite good and many actors cut their teeth in such dramas or take time out to catch their breath.
Despite my efforts to cut back on the number of shows, my viewing stats for the year across 156 dramas are:
- Completed: 86
- Dropped: 70 (for more than half I had watched 50% or more)
- Pre-2024: 32
- By Country: K: 61, C: 62, J: 25, TW: 1, Th: 5, HK: 1 P: 1
- Longest: 183 episodes
- Shortest: 6 episodes
So, for this post, I am going to focus on what I consider the best in each category and then, from these select my number one show for 2024. But first…
A Little Bit About Me
For those who don’t know, I live in Western Australia, the oldest landmass on the planet, and the second largest state of any country. This means the landscape is not only ancient but also beautiful from top to bottom.
The most diverse plant life is here, our wildflowers are stunning, stretching as far as the eye can see.
We are also home to the Black Swan, many diverse species of kangaroos and wallabies, along with emus and all sorts of parrots and cockatoos. And, yes – I see our fauna every day, including snakes and spiders, JJ. I live and work in a large outdoor zoo.
I am currently the CEO of a local government that has become a development “hot spot.”
The district I manage is prime agricultural land. Both mining and green renewables worth billions are muscling in on what is known as the “farming golden triangle” and peri-urban notes are developing as we are only an hour and twenty minutes from the State capital, Perth.
2024 has been busier than ever. I have been in the Supreme Court providing solutions to disputes, engaging with state and national politicians (ministers of the crown, shadow ministers and other parliamentarians), participating in the Energy Transition for the State, developing plans for the future, leading multi local government projects (including one housing development that will enable 450 homes for workers across the Wheatbelt).
Kdrama watching and Asian drama watching in general has allowed me to keep my sanity, although some shows make me feel like I am watching something in an alternate universe.
Righto then, here we go with my various award winners…
Best Comedy
Knight Flower came along at the right time, early on and promising much for the drama year ahead.
If you weren’t a fan of Honey Lee before this, you will be after watching Knight Flower.
What we get to experience in Knight Flower is a young widow who becomes the harbinger of crime each night – that is to say, she announces her presence first and then carries out her own brand of justice.
We get to see some hilarious moments and events such as her tiger painting replica to replace the one she stole.
Then we have this fabulous relationship between her and Lee Jong Won (who is okay in Brewing Love – but not a patch on his role in KF). All the while, her father-in-law is not what he seems.
Honey Lee has always been a good actress and a fine comedian. She has had a busy year, with The Fiery Priest Season 2 also on our screens.
As with any show that Honey is in, there is always an in joke and we see this in episodes 9 and 10 of Fiery 2 where she is dressed up as Cho Yeo Hwa from Knight Flower.
It’s also worth tracking down the behind the scenes and out takes from Knight Flower, just to see how involved and professional Honey is with her drama projects 🐝
Best Legal Drama
Good Partner is superb viewing. Whether it’s right from the upbeat opening credits through to each and every case.
The acting is top notch. We get to see Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun take each story to the next level. We get to see develop between the two female leads a great friendship, based on an evolving mutual respect.
In fact, the relationships between Cha Eun Gyeong, Han Yu Ri, Jung U Jin and Jeon Eun Ho are what makes this show, along with their sensitive treatment of clients and the tricky divorce cases they deal with.
My final comment: wasn’t it great to see Kim Joon Han (as Jung U Jin) play a nice character instead of a scumbag.
Best Action Thriller
What a pleasant surprise A Shop for Killers turned out to be.
What we have is an action based thriller that serves up a good mystery, a secret shopping facility that has all the tools assassins need, underpinned by a relationship between an uncle, who wants to walk away from being an assassin, and his niece who has no idea regarding the type of business he runs.
At its core, this story was full-on entertainment with amazing showdowns between the shop killers and their former employer – very Tarantino.
In other words, A Shop for Killers is the best thing Lee Dong Wook has done since Touch Your Heart ❤️ – my apologies to those who liked the Tale of the Nine Tailed Dramas 😁
Best Crime Drama
I wasn’t sure of Flex X Cop at first. The first two episodes were so-so from my perspective. Then during the third episode, Flex hit its straps.
In short, we have a wealthy young man who is at odds with his stepmother and wants to be a cop, a detective, no less.
He also, after a family falling out, moves into in his mum’s house across the street from the detective who investigated her death when he was a child and who tried to comfort him at the time.
Flex moves from a publicity stunt by the young celebrity faux cop to join the police force to one where, as a result of his well-used connections, he uses his relationships and knowledge to solve long standing crimes.
Of course, he forms a very positive relationship with his lieutenant who just happens to be the daughter of the detective that lives across the road.
Oh, and if you don’t like the sound of this one, take a look at Crash 💥
Best Workplace Drama
There were a number of very good workplace dramas this year and for me it came down to three: Good Partner, You Are My Lover Friend and You Are My Secret.
However, You Are My Lover Friend is the winner due to its adept focus on banking systems, processes and auditing. It also explains the on-line shopping industry quite well. I also enjoyed the romance a little bit more than that in You Are My Secret.
In terms of the leads, our FL, Tang Yang proves her worth time and again. She possesses great integrity and runs rings around her superiors.
By contrast, her lifelong friend, Jiang Shi Yan is a young, brilliant on-line shopping CEO who is both innovative and caring.
Throughout, there are many will they, won’t they moments. Both families dismiss them ever getting together as they always are there for each other, part of the furniture, as it were.
Apart from the main couple being the bees knees, the second couple, as KFG points out in her review of this show, are just as great together and share a wonderful, geeky, cosmic odyssey. I just loved how they were allowed to be an intelligent, sensitive couple.
Many found the third couple challenging but I liked them. Both are friends of the leads and like the parents, never once entertained the idea of the leads being together.
Best Historical Drama
Shogun 2024 is considered not only a masterpiece but has defined how East and West can make an Asian drama together.
I know some won’t agree re its Eastern drama status but it was breathtaking, the acting was so, so good and the level of cultural accuracy was off the charts.
Although Shogun won 18 Emmys (from 25 nominations), the most for any show, ever, the acting was that good and more. Anna Sawai is an acting force to be reckoned with – she delivers, as she has in Pachinko and Monarch – Legend of Monsters.
Then there is the wonderful Sanada Hiroyuk. My sons will always sit up and take note when he is in something because he is always that “Japanese guy,” in every second show or movie they watch. Sanada can be very proud of the production he made happen.
I am looking forward to seasons two and three.
Best Costume Drama
A costume drama is a term Avenue X uses often to cover a range of different shows that may be historical or cultural in nature but certainly have a mythical component.
Blossoms in Adversity does have more of a historical context, pushing out the fabulous xianxia drama The Legend of Shen Li and the enthralling Kdrama – Captivating the King.
Blossoms (there are just as many shows that have the name blossom in the title as there are Fairy named dramas – which can be quite confusing), is a very watchable and enjoyable show.
One of the highlights is the arc regarding the city of exiles. The menfolk from Hua Zhi’s family are sent there in disgrace.
During their time their we get to see how they have to live their lives as an exile and how such communities work, including the arduous journey family members make in order to see them.
During this time, we also get to see how the women left behind make their way in life, which was extremely well done.
We get to see how our ladies managed to pick themselves up and dust themselves with each challenge, instead of show becoming darker and darker and overly oppressive.
It wasn’t until ## perhaps a little bit spoilery## episode 33 that the leads were driven apart by the emperor. Up until then, they resolved things amicably, which was also quite refreshing for a CDrama.
The final stretch of the show was perhaps a little under done and a convenient ending, but it wrapped up a good show quite nicely.
Best Sci-Fi Show
In my view, kdramaland is continuing its trend to give us much improved sci-fi shows each year. Parasyte is no exception to this.
Although some purists had an issue regarding how the story as a remake of the jdorama based on the manga, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This show is a top- notch production that does the sci-fi body-snatching genre proud, with superb performances all round.
At the heart of this story is the various relationships and what happens to them due to external forces (the parasites).
The internal dialogue of the alien brain trying to enforce its will on Jung Soo In (Jeon So Nee – from Scripting Your Destiny) is a very good exposition regarding mind over matter and the use of her alien abilities to fight against the invaders.
I think many of you would enjoy it.
Best Supernatural Drama
The Judge from Hell or The Park Shin Hye Show, as I like to say, was superb.
I love a character who has a devil-may-care attitude, along with a persona that children should never experience.
Although I wasn’t too fussed about the romantic developments (as I felt there were more suited male leads), Bit Na’s unfolding beating heart was well done.
Show was excellent in how it created its own mythology based on Christian, Roman and Greek influences. Kdramas can typically skew these elements and lose the plot. However, Judge keeps it all wonderfully in balance.
Judge is not for the faint hearted. Bit Na’s justice of dishing out punishment that mimics the crimes perpetrated by the offenders is, as Emile Durkheim would have pointed out, appropriate for the society in which the offenders inhabited.
Best Family Drama
Su Ji and U Ri is the winner here – a daily Kdrama – 128 X 30 minute episodes. As a family drama, it rises above the 50 episode weekenders of the last two years. phl1rxd encouraged me to continue on with my watch and she was right!
As with many daily and family weekend dramas, the leads are long drama specialists. Occasionally, they have stars getting back into the industry or doing the right thing and helping a project out.
The supporting cast of such shows consist of dramaland stalwarts and short drama regulars. That is certainly the case with Su Ji and U Ri – with Oh Hyun Kyung from When the Phone Rings.
The focus is on the downfall and rise of Su Ji a very competent psychiatrist who has a relationship with her colleague who is the adopted son of her long lost mother – you get the picture – these shows have close links with all involved and pop corn moments aplenty that make your head turn 🤣
Best Mini Drama
Mini dramas are typically made up of episodes that are 5 – 15 minutes in length. Although China specialises in these types of dramas, there are Kdrama equivalents.
Love in the Tea Garden is this year’s champion, a Cdrama with 24 x 15 minute episodes.
This show is filmed on location in a tea plantation, and in some ways, has Brewing Love vibes re the local interaction.
Show is cute, known for lots of hugging and kissing between the leads. Underneath it all, show does have the theme of a competent marketing executive given the task of reeling in a tea plantation CEO.
Both leads are good together and not a bad way to spend six hours when you have nothing else going on.
The Hidden Gem
Ready, Set, Love is a very worthy winner. Although a Thai dystopian drama, it is so well done.
In short, we have a world where the ladies outnumber the men five to one.
The protagonist Day (Belle Kemisara) was selected to participate in a government-sponsored reality competition called “Ready, Set, Love” where women compete to win the affection of one of the five gentlemen.
Show is a commentary on reality television, declining birth rates and letting others make choices for us. Big Brother is watching but love conquers all!
The Supertanker
This award, hands down, goes to The Auditors. Talk about a big disappointment. Initially, I was excited as were Deni and ABV and we had even agreed to do a mini group watch. As each week went by, we made our comments. In the end, I couldn’t finish it.
Guilty Pleasure Award
This award goes to The General’s Daughter, a Filipino drama from 2018 which is 183 episodes long! It’s soap at its finest but has a heart of gold. Acting royalty make up the cast and they make a good showing.
Angel Locsin is a huge favourite in the Philippines and she did win awards for her portrayal of the spy/assassin renegade used by her adoptive family to take revenge on the government.
Best Romance
For me, Born to Run is the best romance of the year. This show is a very grown up drama and deals with how challenging being dealt a bad hand in life can be.
However, it is the relationship between An Xin and Li Tian Yu that is on the next level in this drama. In fact, it was so much so for me, they knocked off the pedestal the pair from Will Love in Spring.
Born to Run’s great strength is showing why truth is important in relationships. This show doesn’t sugarcoat the difficult subjects and is honest in its dealings between the leads.
I have more to say about this wonderful drama a bit further down.
Favourite OST/Song
Without doubt this is Don’t You by the Brownie Band from that delightful CDrama – I Know I Love You.
This is a great song and one that I was able to perform a very rough rendition of. In fact, other tunes by the Brownie Band are also used in I Know I Love You.
The song itself is so magical. It has a romantic setting from the get go, calling up the mythical jinns of yesteryear and using their power or influences to help paint that swoony interaction by the song’s protagonist.
Fabulous 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Best Opening Credits
We have had some amazing opening credits from Cdramas this year. In the main, Kdrama opening credits have been okay. However, Good Partner takes out this award with its snappy, upbeat tune, and to the point montage.
Best Viewing Platform
Out of all the viewing platforms: Viki, Netflix, Prime, Disney+ (Star), iQiYi, You Tube (Cdramaland galore) the one that managed to up its game this year is Viki.
Viki has improved dramas it makes available, including its back catalogue. Of all the email updates I receive, Viki’s are far more appealing and focused on making you feel welcome 🤗
Best Proposal for a New Drama
From the j3ffc production house comes the delightful Dark. It was by far the best proposal for an up and coming drama 🤣 As the descriptor says: a drama imagined by j3ffc and actually edited by Ele.
I thought then I would share with you what I wrote on The Verdict:
@j3ffc @Ele – I enjoyed Dark immensely. The settings were spot on – I could see them clearly in my mind’s eye. The characterisations were awesome. The buffyisms were a real treat – takes me back quite a way. As for how the story
unfolded – classic structures with some fine nods to a classic sneaking around
scene or two. To have Jang Nara, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Lee Se Young in the one drama was superb. Then to have a spot for Shin Min Ah is greatly appreciated 😊 As for Jang Piljoo – excellent 🤩🤩🤩
My favourite piece of music j3ffc, was Requiem for a Zombie. It is something that lends itself to full orchestration. To give Richie such a prominent role that also captured Zombie Girl to a tee was icing on the cake for me.
Poor old Xander missed out again – I always liked his character.
The Coda was a nice touch – I had visions of j3ffc in his cameo as the Donald P Bellisario type creator where he is often depicted at his typewriter. A
nd, yes you did bring a bright spot to what was an awesome day – 10/10 my friend and may there be another creative endeavour from you at some time in the future 🏆🍾🍻
Rising Star
Hong Ye Ji from Missing Crown Prince put in a stellar performance and is a worthy recipient of this award.
She is only 22 but played her main part superbly: comedy, action, with maturity and drama. She is someone to watch out for in future shows.
Missing Crown Prince was a terrific show for the first 12 episodes. I think 20 episodes was too many. I felt Writer Nim really struggled to get this show to the finish line.
Best Supporting Actor
There are just, so, so many supporting actors to choose from. However, Kim Won Hae is this year’s worthy recipient. What a fantastic year he has had: The Fiery Priest 2, A Virtuous Business, Serendipity’s Embrace and Lovely Runner – to name a few.
Without a doubt he is the best thing about The Fiery Priest 2, reprising his role as the Russian gangster, Vladimir Gozhaev. He plays pivotal moments throughout and his comedic prowess lands just right.
At times he is almost like Leo Getz from the Lethal Weapons movies, except he is more adept at playing undercover roles 😉
Best Actor
So, who are the best male and female actors for 2024. First up, I make no apologies for my decision here because I am such a fan.
Jang Na Ra delivered in spades as Cha Eun Gyeong from Good Partner. From hardened divorce lawyer to a champion of those who fall through the cracks we get to see the seasoned lawyer, a vulnerable mother, and a good friend.
Then there is Jo Jung Suk in his spell binding role in Captivating the King. No other male lead this year comes close to nailing their role they way Jung Suk has. There is no doubt when watching his performance he is the king. He exudes kingship as it should be.
Runner-up Best Drama of 2024
Born to Run is an inspirational drama and a very worthy runner up to Best Drama of 2024. It is a great story, although with much sadness. There is car accident, the death of a nephew and marriage failure. Equally, there is also one amazing triumph after another.
An Xin, the FL and centre of the story is a dancer who loses her legs.
However, her mum Xiu Fang (played by the great Xu Di – who was also Niao Niao’s grandmother in Love Like a Galaxy) becomes the inspiration for her daughter. She gets fit, loses weight, gains great neighbourhood friends and opens a chicken shop.
An Xin’s aunty, the mother of her cousin Rouhoa, is emotional blackmail, dynamite. In fact, Xiu Li is the most horrible mum we have ever seen in any show – yes, even more horrible than Kim Mi Yeon in that show that won’t be named), but a great piece of acting by Chen Xiao Li all the same.
So much happens in this drama. The dance routines, the starting of a prosthesis business by our heroine. Then there is the ML, a former principal dancer who as her mum’s personal trainer, intersects with, and then falls in love with, An Xin.
Many of the scenes between the leads, their dance rehearsals, are just beautiful. Ruohua, the cousin heading towards a wedding reality was so sad but masterful. Then the moment where Xiu Li finally watches the video by her deceased son – was as good as it gets.
This show is worth a look.
Best Drama of 2024
Well, here we are folks. We have come full circle. Knight Flower is my show of the year. The reason: Knight Flower was out of the blocks early and was an absolute delight from the beginning of its run through to the end.
Show was also know as Night Blooming Flower. So, the title we are most familiar with is a play on this title, hinting at good deeds being done.
Prime’s short synopsis says:
A dangerous romance between the Joseon version of a widow hero with a mask and an uptight officer begins. Park Su Ho was uptight but what we see is this wonderful transformation once he starts to interact with Cho Yeo Hwa. Conversely, we see a similar transformation with our heroine.
Cho Yeo Hwa running rings around Park Su Ho was a constant source of amusement. Likewise with their common meeting place. However, what really seals the deal is how they left messages for each other.
So simple but highly effective in its delivery for those totally committed to this show.
Knight Flower has ended up on many different viewing platforms. I think this in itself reflects how the good show really is.
Seasons Greetings
Wow, what a ride it’s been. My 2024 drama viewing year was more diverse than ever, and it hasn’t finished yet.
Thank you for taking the journey with me and taking the time to read my contribution to the drama universe.
In case you are interested, I have almost finished my post regarding how I bend space and time to watch the vast number of shows I do.
The plan, providing KFG agrees, is to hand over a draft to her in February 2025. Why will it take so long to add the finishing touches – because I am taking five weeks leave at Christmas 😊
Speaking of which, here is to wishing everyone a Very Merry, Merry Christmas 🤶 🎅🎄
~Sean

Sean – Just in case this might reach you, I put an unfinished orchestral sketch on the Water Cooler as per your inspiration. I make all of my excuses on the site…..thanks once again for your kind words in your post.
Finally added the unwatched dramas to my list-Good Partner, A Shop for Killers (maybe) and Judge from Hell (another maybe). Thank you for the great descriptions about shows strengths. Let see how I far I get down that list in 2025.
But you are a space and time bender extraordinaire!
Hi Sean! Thanks for your year review and recommendations. But I’m frustrated as I can’t find many of the shows you reccomend. Where did you watch “Born to run”? (I’m just over the ditch in NZ, so I’m hoping I can maybe access the same shows you can…)
I’m also so late to commenting on this! As usual I’ve now learnt of shows I had never even heard of and now are on the to watch list.
Thanks for saying good things about Flex x Cop – I’m finally getting there (about a year late but better late than never!) and I’m enjoying it so far. It was on pause as I watched A List to Playlist but I’ll be back now that I’m done with that!
Plus You Are My Secret was such a sweet show and I actually did appreciate the office/ business context. Plus, Miles Wei!!! hahaha.
Looking forward to another great year of dramas!
“MC we recently finished Flex X Cop and it was well done and a ❤️❤️❤️.
@seankfletcher
Finally writing about Shogun – the J-drama.
For me – Shogun was easily the best drama across all Asian content. I am glad I watched it and happy to know that you enjoyed it equally well to make it to your best drama list.
And to make a comparison – Shogun conveyed many things more effectively in those 10 episodes than many of the 16 or 20 episode historical K-dramas. Every cast member and the technical team did a great job and all the awards for this team is so worth it.
Now on the amazing – Hiroyuki Sanada – What a performance and also a great work by collaborating on the project as a producer. Actually I was chatting with a Japanese friend of mine on Shogun and she likes Hiro-San as well and mentioned that many of his Japanese friends were asking him to move back to Japan from Hollywood (where he shifted base 20 years ago I guess) and thought that he wasting his time in HW given his talents. And then Shogun happened. So kudos to him for sticking out and thankfully all those years didn’t go waste especially with the Emmy win.
On my Osaka castle visit – I really enjoyed the whole castle vibe and the history. Based on whatever I have read so far in there – I think season 2 with be on the summer battle of Osaka between the deceased Hideyoshi’s son and the new Shogun – Toranaga. Not sure how they are going to handle the battle scenes but if the story and the war scenes are done well – then this might be as epic as season 1. I also found the life of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (the Taiko) interesting and we can have an entire season on him. Also would love to see a season on how Toranaga came to be one of the five Regents and close confident of Taiko. But definitely a very rich history in there. I also have a personal take on what Shogun did to Japan in general that I will convey in Patreon at a later time in Jan maybe.
And here’s to many more years of drama watching and discussion.
@P.Jasmine – I hope you had a good flight. Thank you for your insights regarding Shogun and Hiro-San – deeply appreciated 😊 My plan is to visit Osaka Castle in 2027 before I call it a day and close out my career. I look forward to your personal take on what Shogun did to Japan.
The summer battle of Osaka is considered by many as Japan’s greatest battle. What happened is a great story in itself and if they can replicate what they did in Season One re these series of battles and what happened next, it will be “bumper” seasons two and three.
A film that will be worth your time sometime down the track is: A Tale of Samurai Cooking: A True Love Story. It is delightful. During 18th Century Japan, a samurai class of chefs developed. It is the story of how a good cook taught her samurai husband to cook and how their recipes became the basis of Japanese food that we know today.
Sean
I write on Shogun in detail by tonight from Tokyo. Now the flight is about to takeoff to Tokyo.
Sean – on your C-dramas list:
I am very much inclined to watch “Born to Run” based on all your high praise for it. It suits my interest as well and hence thank you for bringing this to my attention. Again I only watched two 2024 C-dramas: Will Love in Spring and To the Wonder and both were done well. Especially I am curious to see how the romance couple from “Born to Run” topped over those from “Will Love in Spring”.
Also this is my first year of watching C-dramas and whatever I saw I was super impressed. So hoping to watch many more good stories from C-drama land with some much-needed “time bending” tips from you if any 🙃🙏.
@P.Jasmine – as much as I enjoyed the couple in Will Love in Spring, I found the romance a bit toxic, even though I understood it well enough. With Born to Run, we see two people who accepted things, warts and all.
Congratulations on your first year of C-drama watching 😊 There are so many good ones (and as Natalia highlighted just as many that deserve being dropped). My favourites include: The Story of Minglan, The Longest Day in Changan and Love Like a Galaxy. Then there is The Sword and the Brocade and Who Rules the World. They are all costume dramas but well worth watching 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hello Sean
I finally read the EOY post in detail.
Amazing write-up as always and lots of info on many 2024 dramas that I haven’t watched yet. I only watched Knight Flower, The Fiery Priest 2, Chief Detective and Mr. Plankton from 2024 K-dramas and thankfully some of them made it to your list (relieved really 🙃)
Knight Flower was an amazing sageuk and yes Hanee Lee was so GOOD in it. Only she could do what she did in that drama and get away with it all. Oh she did look so pretty in all that Hanbok dresses that I was even tempted to watch the older K-drama “Shine or Go crazy” for her but finally I didn’t watch that drama as yet.
My only gripe if any is that she is being so typecast in Fiery Priest 2 (FP2). By now her comedic talents are well-established – so I am looking forward to her doing something completely different and that we don’t expect from Hanee Lee. Agreed that FP2 is a continuation of the original FP drama and hence she can’t suddenly outgrow her characterisation.
On seeing her in real:
tbh I expected her to come in all decked up and stylish etc (infact I made sure I was well put together as I didn’t want to look shabby in case Hanee Lee sees me in the audience and I had a very good seat as well for her to notice me).
but she came so casually dressed in jeans and high neck sweater and was very lovely and peaceful in real with no airs about being the “Hanee Lee”. Actually surprisingly the other actress from FP2 – Baek Ji Won looked super stylish in real (on thinking a bit I realised that she mostly wore a nun dress in FP series).
Now on the other K-dramas – I have made a note of your good words on “A Shop for Killers” and “Flex-cop” which suits my interest. I have only read good words on “Good Partner” but I did pro bono in family law for lower income families here and it was honestly very challenging. Not sure if I want to relive those memories as yet. But it is in my list and infact Jang Nara won the Grand Prize yesterday at the SBS awards 2024 (looks like she is a strong contender for next year Baeksang as well). From what I read looks like she truly deserved it.
also it’s a shame really that you couldn’t finish Mr. Plankton. But kindly do consider giving it another try and you won’t be disappointed. Fighting.
And I am definitely looking forward to your “time and space bending” writing and hope to pick up some tips.
@P.Jasmine – thank you for your very kind words. I did watch Chief Detective which was very good, but I wanted to see more of them as a young married couple – I guess the curse of episode shortened shows.
Honey Lee is going to be doing some different dramas going forward – more serious roles. I’m sure she did notice you PJ 😊 She always strikes me as down to earth. As for Baek Ji Won – she is fabulous in Parole Examiner Lee – gangland boss that is sharply dressed, fiery with a heart of gold and a piercing laugh 🤩
I can sympathise re how you would feel with Good Partner. I admire that you did do pro bono work. One day when you can it is very much worth a look because Jang Na Ra is so good – as are every other member of the cast and the guest cast which is a who’s who of kdramaland.
Yes, fighting re Mr Plankton!
I’m not sure if my time and space bending tips are ones to embrace but I am trying to make the post as entertaining as possible 😉😊🤩
We are halfway through episode 13 of Good Partner, by the way.
It’s very good, aside from the second female lead acting like a deer caught in the headlights much too often. But it doesn’t seem like the type of show that is worried about professional accuracy!
For sure, a career high acting performance by Jang Na Ra!
As usual, Sean, I am in awe at the number of dramas you have seen! I haven’t seen any you mention – but being very attached to Jang Na Ra, I will check out Good Partner! So glad you enjoyed Dark too, and even more so for including it in your End of Year Review 🙂
@Ele – lovely to hear from you. I hope you enjoy checking out Good Partner. Jang Na Ra always delivers 😊 Dark was a real treat and the collaboration between you and j3ffc deserves a shout out 🤩🤩🤩 I hope there is something more in future 😉
I think j3ffc may have something up his EOY sleeve…
@seankfletcher, we started Good Partner this evening. Loving it so far, but wow, I can’t believe how much they styled Jang Na-ra to resemble Lee Bo-young’s lead role in Agency. lol
@merij1 – I’m glad you have started Good Partner, and perceptive as always. I remember thinking the same 😊
Sean – Thank You as always for being the avid Asian drama watcher that you are and giving us varied views. Much much appreciated.
Also I quickly skimmed through your post for now. and I have titbits to share both on Hanee Lee and TFP2 cast as I saw them all live in Seoul fan event of Kim Nam Gil for good 2 hrs in a very good view seat. Also I made it to Osaka castle and so re-lived all the Shogun memories in Nov and have stuff to share on it as well.
I am really hard-pressed for time now but I will totally be free from 22 Dec Sunday onwards until New Year and I will read and reply to your post in leisure in detail. Thanks🙏
P.S – for now I just say that actor Kim Won-Hae was fun to watch in person and he is the most colorful dressed Korean actor I have ever seen. In that hi coat/pant/shirt/socks were all totally mismatched 🙃😜. Also I am so glad I watched Good Manager this year (he was so GOOD in that drama) as I wasn’t that impressed with him in both TFP 1 and now airing TFP 2.
@P Jasmine – thank you for making a pitstop and sharing those fabulous tidbits re the fan event and Osaka Castle (I will be visiting there in about three years from now). I look forward to your detailed response. Yes, Kim Won-Hae was superb in Good Manager, which was such a good show 😊
I need to say a very big shoutout to Kfangurl who not only presented my post so awesomely but generously added in images of dramas that I didn’t provide pictures for. So, here is my little thank you right here:
https://share.icloud.com/photos/024mqyCqEkjVCiESevpi81Wvw
Aw thanks for the shout-out @seankfletcher! I’m so glad that you like the end result!! ❤️ And thank YOU, for writing! 🥰
Great end of year review! I especially enjoyed your inclusion of awards for opening credits and viewing platform. I haven’t watched Good Partner yet, but I completely agree with you giving the Best Viewing Platform award to Viki. It deserves it just for the subtitles, which are always better than other platforms in my opinion. I’m amazed and jealous of your drama numbers as always!
@Erin – thank you for enjoying my EOY Post 😊 Good Partner is one of those shows that has a bit of everything for everyone. Viki’s subtitles do seem better, including the little details or nuances – I have noticed that with a couple of shows of late. I’m always amazed where I get to with my drama numbers, which is why I try to do something of value with them 😉
@Sean Fletcher, I’ve got a lot to thank you for, but I’m gonna start with “hit its straps”. What a great expression….I’ve never heard it before, but am totally going to use it going forward.
Of course, we’ve come to expect nothing less than insightful critical commentary from you, but you’ve gone and outdone yourself. I am so embarrassed to say that I’ve only seen one, uno, exactly 1.000000, ein, mono-show that you talked about here (“the Park Shin Hye show”, which was wonderful), but I’m going to go glass half full here. SO MUCH TO LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING, conveeeeeeeeniently arranged by genre and vibe. I’ll even start a legal drama, not usually my vibe, but I must because I am now officially a Jang Nara completist. (And I second your nomination of her for actor of the year, pretty much any year.)
Your real life is totally fascinating and I thank you for sharing it with us in detail. You do meaningful, difficult work, and I think there is not a soul among us who doesn’t appreciate that. Plus, you get to live in one of the most wonderful places on earth. Not that we’re jealous or anything.
And of course, thank you so very much for your kind words re “Dark”. Given your knowledge and tase…to be mentioned on your EOY post in any context = speechless. 🙏
Thanks for getting our EOYs off to a great start, Sean, and best wishes for a wonderful holiday to you. Best wishes for your upcoming vacay, too, even while looking forward to your handy-dandy guide to drama immersion next year.
Happy 2025!
@j3ffc – thank you for your best wishes and shout out regarding the post and even expressions used 😊
No need for embarrassment here. I think that’s awesome in itself you have watched the Park Shin Hye show 😂
It’s so awesome that you are now a Jang Nara completist (and what a great phrase that is too). She really does deserve such a following. I am sure you will like said legal drama.
I really do appreciate your comments regarding the work l do. You know how it is with any job we do – imposter syndrome kicks in. There I was in a Teams meeting on Friday with the ESA (Germany) and our ESA tracking station here, sorting out our partnership for next year and talking about how they are controlling the Martian rovers and explorers from the tracking station here. I do have to pinch myself.
Dark is a very worthy project, j3ffc. I think you could use a bit of AI magic to make it happen 😉
I hope my immersive experience sharing lives up to my hype 😁 Here is to enjoying what is to come and I hope a little less accessing of papers for you and more Jang Nara moments 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Sean-
First things first – what a fabulous graphic to start the read! In the words of our dear friend Snagglepuss – “Superb – even!”
I have chosen not to do an EOY this year, so I appreciating yours that much more. I really need to do my Wuxia post first. I am feeling a bit guilty about it. Maybe we both will finally get out our long delayed posts?
Again this year, I failed to follow your guidelines on how to account for all of my watches. Every January, I swear I will start using your method, but I never do. I’m almost at 17,000 episodes so I have watched quite a bit this year. Like you, I dropped a ton of dramas, primarily costume CDramas, a lot of which featured truly awful writing. I am with you on the minisode dramas and have found YouTube channels specializing in these. I am happy to see you mention these, as some of the readers will take a look at these.
I am with you on Good Partner. It was such a well made, well written production! Note-I cannot shake my remembrance of Kim Joon Han as a ‘super scumbag’ in the drama Time. He is such a good actor. I agree that the opening credits of Good Partner were well done.
You Are My Lover Friend 💚💛💜💙 was such a great watch. I loved every episode! Loved the moms! Loved the 2nd leads romantic arc. You cannot go wrong with this drama.
I personally liked Legend of Shen Li much more than Blossoms in Adversity, which I could not finish. I watched 36 of the 40 episodes before I dropped it. My comments on BOA over at MDL are “The writers must have dropped acid at E36 because everything got ___up”. Yes, it was that turn of events at E33 that did me in.. Note that I agree wholeheartedly with you on the first 32 episodes as I really enjoyed those.
Like Jennifer, I have to say no to Parasyte –just the graphic for this show alone makes me shudder. You are a brave man, Sean!
Suji and Uri is classic old fashioned KDrama. I loved it! I did not want it to end. Twisted Sister, indeed!
I need to pick up Ready, Set, Love again and give it another chance. I started it but I got diverted.
Yes to Dark!
What can I say about my man, Kim Won Hae? You know I love him. He is half of my ‘Darling Duo’ (Ahn Kil Kang being the other half). I perk up when he comes on my screen. Maybe it is because our birth dates are 2 days apart? Who knows – I just really love this dude. SO happy that you mentioned him, Sean! I am going to start Fiery Priest in a week or two and I am looking forward to seeing him in this.
You know I love Santa! Santa in de house! 🎅 I gotta find you one holding a cup of tea.
Going on my list – Love in the Tea Garden, Shop for Killers, Flex, Shogun (has been on my list for months), The General’s Daughter, Born to Run. You know I put a lot of faith in your picks.
I await your post – although I think I know how you do it Sean – it is simply because you are an alien. 👽👽👽👽 ♥Your processing ability is beyond our imagination. I just gave up trying to catch you this year. It is just not possible. I appreciate your EOY even more because of that.
Merry Christmas to the whole family! 🎅🎄🎁🎅🎄🎁
Hello phl1rxd – Thank you so much regarding the graphic. It does set the scene nicely 😊 As for Snagglepuss – I remember the first time he ever said “Heavens to Mergatroyd,” I was sold 😉 I used to wait patiently during each episode for him to say “stage left…”
It’s a shame there is no EOYP from you this year but I get it. If I hadn’t started mine a couple of months ago, it wouldn’t have happened. I can’t wait for your Wuxia post. There is no need to feel guilty. I think my time bending post has been in the works for nearly three years now 😱
Wow oh wow, 17,000 episodes. At this rate you will haul me this year 😉
With CDramas, it’s clear many of them are churned out and the writing is awful. Then you get the good ones and not only that, they are very good, although every now and then they can go south. I suspect one I’m watching at the moment is heading that way.
Yes, I’m a great fan of the minisode drama format.
I guess my issue with the Legend of Shen Li was it was so, so good (in fact brilliant) re the first 14 episodes I wanted that storyline to continue. I only marked it down fractionally but it was enough for Blossoms of Adversity to get its nose in front.
I understand re Parasyte. It’s a very good story though. As for Ready, Set, Love there is a lovely element throughout of what it means to protect the one you love.
I know re you and Kim Won Hae 😉 I think he just gets even better and I really enjoy how substantial his parts are. As for Ahn Kil Kang, he never fails to deliver and he was superb in A Shop for Killers.
I look forward to the Santa holding a cup of tea. When you sent me the earl grey tea a couple of years ago (which was superb) I now use the canister as my tea caddy ☕️🫖
With The General’s Daughter it might not be your cup of tea but it is very much like a deconstructed Kdrama from old.
As for me being an alien, it might explain my fascination with them. In the middle of winter when we go to Canberra for one reason or another, I get the chance to wear my MIB attire as it’s a tad cold 😎
Thank you so much for appreciating this post and as always making those delightful comments here and there. I know I haven’t responded to the Before Dawn comments yet but a Rat Wrangler is the person who manages the rats used in the movie. In fact the rat(s) you see is a real star 😂 On one occasion when they had a Sunday off, Linda and some of the crew including the animal handler went out to lunch at a local brewery with said rat in tow. Now L is not one to tolerate rodents but she said he was awesome.
So, here is to 2025 and many more drama suggestions 🎄🎅📺
Today I learned there is an official role of Rat Wrangler, and that there were legit rat stars in Before Dawn! 😂
It is a veritable wildlife smorgasbord down under between the rats and Helen. Oi! I can imagine Lovely L at the bar in conversation with said rat. That made my day.
Loving Born to Run! I m on E8 and it is as you describe – honest and real.
@phl – here is a snap (which you may have seen) from last Christmas of pink and grey galahs having a good old peck on the driveway. I should have taken a video because they then turned their attention to the Christmas rope lights. They thought it was hilarious they could move it:
https://share.icloud.com/photos/0daw3V38swKBvwGGUjMfixUUA
I’m glad you are loving Born to Run 😊😊😊😊😊
Sean- those little buggers are after those Christmas lights big time. The pink cuteness gets to me but they are so very, very naughty!
@phl – lol. When we lived in Kalgoorlie, they would hang upside down on the main guywire supporting the communications equipment on the city office roof and slide down it, get to the bottom and then fly back up to the top and start all over again!
Sean, a trailblazer, as always!
I see China wins in numbers, but your heart still belongs to Korea (and Honey Lee 😉🤭🍯).
I still laugh at that tiger painting replica, that was a great moment (I was half expecting that noone would tell the difference though – I guess that is what being exposed to The Monty Python since one’s early age does to one’s sense of humor).
Besides Knight Flower (and, surprisingly, Ready Set Love – I thought I was the only one that had watched this one 😅), we don’t have a lot of shows in common – that means a lot of recommendations for me!
And yes, I totally agree, I want to watch Dark on my screen!
Merry Christmas, Sean!
@Natalia – blazing the trail is a little bit like F-troop in my approach but I get there in the end.
Love the Monty Pythons reference. Forever fabulous and champions of commenting on the absurd: here is Arthur at the Art Gallery – probably wouldn’t be made today for one reason or another:
https://youtu.be/ZUj_dIsTvU8?si=nTJf-r7wh16v8rJM
Ready, Set, Love really drew me in. Some of its social commentary was superb. I hope you do enjoy my recommendations, if you get the chance.
I wonder if j3ffc could use AI to produce an episode or two of Dark. There is some very good shorts on You Tube where some very clever people have used it to produce short stories/films.
Fingers crossed for 2025 being a big Kdrama year 🎅🤶🎄
@seankfletcher – Been a while since we last spoke. Had some extenuating circumstances on my end. Hope you are enjoying the Border-Gavaskar trophy as well.
Awesome writeup and a great way to set us up for this year’s EOY posts. Thank you.
I’ve watched many of the titles that you listed in your writeup and pretty much liked all of them.
Knight Flower – I didn’t realise that the the ML, Lee Jong Won was the same as the one in Brewing Love. I’m actually watching that now and have two episodes left. It had a slow start, the first two episodes are odd but then, it’s quite enjoyable. Anyways, back to Knight Flower, it was definitely a highlight of the year and seriously got us off to an excellent start. Honey Lee’s best role this far. Nice that they used that getup in in Fiery Priest 2 as well. Wish that episode was not postponed.
You Are My Secret and You Are My Lover Friend – Both workplace romances were excellent. I personally thought that You Are My Secret was more well rounded than You Are My Lover Friend as the workplace drama was quite good for a change. But all four couples were really lovable.
Good Partner – Loved the main duo. Nam Ji Hyun and Jang Na Ra were so great individually and together. This was so easy to watch.
The Judge From Hell – Just finished this on Saturday and Park Shin Hye was utterly fabulous in this one. I think that this might be one of the best supernatural K-dramas that I’ve seen. I would have liked it if there was no romance in this one honestly. Didn’t really take to that part of the show.
A Shop For Killers – An early 2024 banger and it was so captivating to watch. My brother and I really want season 2 as soon as possible. One of the reasons that I did not pick up Flex X Cop was because it announced a season 2.
Parasyte: The Grey – As a huge fan of the original manga (and the anime), this was a must watch for me. And I was pleasantly surprised at how well this little K-drama was made. It only took the concept from the original manga and used it to tell its own little tale. The Parasyte-Human dilemma is always the main attraction of any Parasyte series.
Ones that I’ve not gotten to yet – Love in the Tea Garden and Suji and Uri. I’ve actually almost picked up Love in the Tea Garden a couple of times. This has given me the push to just go for it. Haven’t watched that many family dramas this year. Is Suji and Uri great till the end?
Finally, Born to Run. Given the amount of high praise that you showered on it, maybe I can pick it up before the end of this year. I only have Angels Fall Sometimes and maybe, Family By Choice to finish before the end of the year as per my original plan so I’ll try to get this done too.
Don’t You is an exceptional song 😊
Auditors was definitely a super tanker, unfortunately. Really disappointing that it turned out the way that it did.
Once again, really enjoyed reading your post. Merry Christmas and wish you a great 2025 too.
@ABV – Suji and Uri is an excellent old fashioned daily. It is somewhat similar to a US Soap Opera. From March through October, I woke up each morning and the first thing I did after making coffee was to watch that day’s episode drop. A perfect way to start my day,
This drama (I nicknamed it “Twisted Sister”) has it all and I remember gushing about how good it was to Sean. I was never – not even once – bored. The writing was great and considering the number of episodes this was a real task to stay on track.
If you like family dramas and you have the time for 128 episodes, then this is for you. It has a old fashioned vibe and lots of heart,
@phl1rxd – Thank you for this information. I love family dramas; it is one of my favourite genres. I watched many of them last year, only about 7-10 this year. Very few were long dramas; those are the ones I truly appreciate once I get into them.
Glad that it was consistent throughout. I tend to binge family dramas because I can’t wait for the next episode.
Excited to check it out.
@ABV – yes, I am enjoying the Border-Gavaskar trophy: one all at this point!
A big thank you for your kind comments, ABV. I hope that all is okay for you now.
Some great comments re the above and I can see from what you said you enjoyed these shows. Jin, a Japanese time travel to the past medical drama, has come onto Netflix and for a show nearly 14 years old – it really stands up.
It’s interesting the romance angle re Judge – I certainly would have rated it higher without it. Fingers crossed for Shop for Killers 2. Flex X Cop is really worth a look – no need to wait for season 2 but I get it 😉 As for Parasyte: the Grey, I’m glad you found this adaption worthy – because, it was that good.
With Love in the Tea Garden, just roll with it and let it take you there 🤩 See phl1rxd’s comments below re Su Ji & Uri 🤗
I think you will like Born to Run as it is full on about the respective families. I just think this show deals with all the issues in a very relatable way and the main couple are dynamite.
As for Good Partner, I would be very happy if there was a second season.
I look forward to our interactions through 2025 🎄🎄🎄
@seankfletcher – Yeah. The series has been setup well. This is a crucial Test.
You’re welcome and yes, things are finally back on track for me now and some semblance of normalcy has returned.
Sure did. 🙂 I’ve added Jin to my watchlist. I almost picked up the manga adaptation for it a few years ago. Glad to know that it holds up.
Same. I feel that it would have sneaked into my favourite shows of this year if there wasn’t any romance. But it was still worth the time for Park Shin Hye.
I’ll think about it (Flex x Cop). Maybe I will check it out. What I really appreciated about Parasyte: The Grey was that it went ahead and told its own original story. What it accomplished in those 6 episodes was really quite something.
I randomly just watched an episode of Love in the Tea Garden yesterday and i do think that I’ll enjoy it.
Already thanked Phl1rxd’s inputs on Suji and Uri.
I’ve read quite a few glowing reviews about Born to Run and your praise only increases my motivation to check it out.
Would be cool to see a second season of Good Partner but even if there wasn’t one, I thought season one ended at a great point.
Me as well. Hope we have a wonderful year. 😊😊
@Mr. Fletcher – Its called a HUNTSMAN not just a “spider” in your parts. “HUNTS MAN” GAH!!! 🫣🤪
Ohhhhh, is the a preview to something special for next year??? “@Kdrama Timebending con??? I love the graphics. Cant wait!!
Only 156Dramas, Mr. Fletcher? Sigh. I had hoped from better from you this year….sigh. We will work it though 😆😂 But I love you did get 1 more Cdrama in there than Kdrama!
Couldnt agree more with Knight Flower for Best Comedy!!!! Honey Lee was just superb.
Ok, ok, fine. I’ll finally go look at Good Partner!!!
Yeah, gonna pass of Shop for K……
WOO HOO!!! Wasnt Flex X Cop such a wonderful surprise! I had such fun and Ahn Bo Hyun really did a fine job and especially loved his comedy.
I’ll have to look up Crash though, I have heard of it but not much!
Just started You are My Lover Friend!!! And promptly fell asleep 🤭😳 I promise to give it another go, but your fault if it takes me awhile you suggested Brocade Odyssey out of the blue….
Ah Shogun 2024. Not for the faint of heart and just not going to be able to do it. So glad its won all the awards though and showed a bridge is possible between different styles of drama making.
Blossoms in Adversity was fun and enjoyed until the end, but Legend of Shen Li wins it for me hands down. Its ok. You can be wrong 😝🤣
Yeah, Parasyte, even the pic you picked FREAKS ME OUT 🫣😫🫣😫🫣😫 Moving on quickly.
Ugh. I am watching very slowly The Park Shin Hye Show bc I love her so much. It’s gonna take me a long while……sigh.
Maybe Ill peek at Suji and Uri…Hmmmmm
YAY! So glad you talked about Ready, Set, Love! Wasnt that just so much unexpected excellent fun and so well done!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeah, Auditors lost its popcorn fun. Sniffle…
Born To Run. Looking for it now 🥰🥰🥰 Thats pretty big statement to say knocked the pair off of Will Love in Spring who were pretty awesome. Must look into this one. Thanks for the heads up though
I Know I Love You had a great soundtrack. I love how you describe this song even though it was not a favorite of mine, still was very good 🥰🥰🥰
j3ffc and Ele just plain ROCK 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
YES! I agree about Hong Ye Ji. Hmmm, maybe I should pass on Missing Crown Prince. Always takes so much for me to start a Sageuk…
We 1,000% agree on Jo Jung Suk. He was magnificent. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 If only the whole show had been as powerful as he had been…..
LOVE Knight Flower wont the year for you! A worth choice and one I can agree with 🥰🥰🥰🥰
BUT the BEST news of this entire post is hearing you will be taking FIVE WEEKS of Leave. I wonder just how many shows you will polish off in five weeks? A whole years worth??!?!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wait, JJ… First Sean, then you… You mean I am not the only one who has watched Ready, Set, Love???😅😅
@JJ – here is a link just for you – a poem called Helen the Huntsman 😂🤣😂: https://youtu.be/FQMhpiQAhAI?si=VVPnQAQBgOzj7ToR
Well, I hope it’s special 😉
Crash is very good – it’s about a police car crash investigation unit. The cases they investigate are based on real events. There is even an explanation of Korean Road safety laws by the actors at the end of each episode.
Lol re You Are My Lover Friend. Brocade Odyssey really is a fantastic show. They are fabulous together.
I do think you will like Good Partner. Show is full of heart.
Ready, Set, Love has really transformed Thai dramas, with more distopian type shows on the way.
Born to Run is worth looking into. However, you might struggle a bit with a certain mother (aunty).
There’s a lot going for Missing Crown Prince, even if you just watch the initial episodes.
Hmmm – imagine watching five weeks worth of dramas in absolute peace and quiet.
Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and support throughout the year. Lee Min Ho is on the horizon with Gong Hyo Jin in When the Stars Gossip 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
@seankfletcher – MR. FLETCHER!!!! OMO!!! THATS SOOOO SCARY THOSE VISUALS WITH THAT POEM. I AM TOTALLY TRAUMATIZED. UGH 🫣🕷️🤪🤯😳🫣
Did you see how BIG that container was to gently remove Helen from the wall??? OMO! GAH!
Now, spiders play an important role in the ecosystem, they are most welcome just not anywhere near me, thank you. ESPECIALLY A Huntsman….brrrrrr
@JJ – the method you saw of removing a spider is very effective. We use it all the time. The only time we don’t is when dealing with a Redback – they go immediately to Spidey Heaven!
The Auditors. I knew it. We all agree, the most disappointing Except I finished it. For the president. No other reason.
Thanks for the wonderful write up. I might rethink some I chose not to watch based on your recommendations.
You are indeed a space time bender!!!
Deni – You called it!!!
@Deni – Thank you so much and I hope you do find the chance to watch one or two recommendations 😊😊😊 I’m glad you finished The Auditors, even if it was for the President. It still has a rating of 8.2 on MDL, which is interesting. We will need to see if there is something worth a mini-group watch in 2025.
Excusing myself since it was in the wee hours when I posted (I was first, I get award?), I forgot to say have very Merry Christmas and an awesome 5 week vacation with not only drama time but time for all the things that bring you joy.
🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
@Deni – yes, you do get an award. Please find it here:
https://share.icloud.com/photos/026UhrbORWJ2N4H3DPfJiP0Dw
Thank you so much for your well wishes 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You are hilarious. Truly. I am thrilled you took the time to pander to my silliness. Thank
you for my award. I am not smart enough to make you one for your response on our music post.
@Deni – your music post is the best 😊🤩😊
Thanks Sean,
glad you enjoyed it. I have become quite the music nerd in my retirement. Next up-an education into music so I understand it better.
Sean – that as very cool!
