Flash Review: Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee? [Mini Series]

If you like coffee, or if you’re on the market for a short little drama thing that’s laidback and chill, but that manages to also be reasonably thought-provoking, you might want to give this little mini series a whirl.

At 12 episodes of 25 minutes each, I found Show to be a great little drama snack, for when you’re short on time, but want the sense of continuity that a drama offers.

Flash Review: The Tuna And The Dolphin [Drama Special]

I’ve grown quite fond of Park Gyu Young in recent years, and found her particularly charming in Dali and the Cocky Prince (even though I dropped that show). I also have a good amount of goodwill for Yoon Park, particularly from his role as a sweet chef in 2016’s Age Of Youth, and have felt that he deserves to play nicer guys in general.

So when I saw that this little drama special stars Park Gyu Young and Yoon Park, I just had to give it a look.

Overall, while this isn’t the most amazing show ever, I did find it quite enjoyable – after a few lens adjustments, which I’ll talk about soon.

Flash Review: When You Love Yourself 2 [Web Drama]

After enjoying Season 1 of this little show so much (review is here!), I just had to check out Season 2. Especially when I realized that Season 2 (10 episodes of 10 minutes each) features many of the same characters and cast.

All in all, Season 2 shares a lot of Season 1’s traits, but still manages to feel like its own thing.

Even though it’s Season 1 that stole my heart more, I’m still glad that I got to spend more time with these characters, for another season. 🥰

Flash Review: When You Love Yourself [Web Drama]

You guys. If you have 60 minutes to spare, I’d like to recommend this little web drama (6 episodes of 10 minutes each) as a strong contender for your drama spendage.

For a short little drama thing, it works out to be such a fun little watch, while also managing to be an uplifting message about self-love and self-acceptance. This one had me grinning happy grins, very quickly into my watch, no exaggeration. It’s almost like a little highway to happiness.

Totally recommend.

PS: I am so going to watch the second season (which is already available, yay!) – stay tuned for that review, coming tomorrow! 😉 (Update: Season 2 review is here!)

Flash Review: A Rose And A Tulip [Japan] [Movie]

As you guys very likely know, I now have pretty serious heart-eyes for Junho, and so, of course I had to poke around his filmography, to see what else he’s done, that I might like to see.

When I saw that he starred in this Japanese movie as a pair of doppelgängers, I just had to check it out. I mean, it would be unreasonable of me to turn down a movie that offers two Junhos for the price of one, yes? 😉

Flash Review: LOVE [Taiwan] [Movie]

Happy Valentine’s Day, my friends!! ❤️

If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day movie to watch, this omnibus movie, which is all about love, might be a good contender. Show was released 10 years ago, specifically in celebration of Valentine’s Day – which is why I thought it’d be the perfect show to check out today, in honor of the season of love.

Flash Review: 9 Seconds: Eternal Time [Web Drama]

If you’re on the market for a short little drama thing, and are in the mood for young love with lashings of poignance, and a fantasy twist, then little web drama 9 Seconds: Eternal Time might just be your ticket.

At just 7 episodes of only 15 minutes each, Show works out to be under 1 hour 25 minutes, and yet, manages to pack a surprisingly solid emotional punch, in that short time. Not bad, I say.

Flash Review: Seobok [Movie]

Huge shout-out to Beez, who was the one who let us know, over on Patreon, that Viki would start carrying Seobok, from 1 Feb! Thanks, Beez! 😘

I have a great deal of fondness for both Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum, which is why this movie’s been on my radar, ever since it was announced. Now that I’ve finally had the chance to see it, I’ll say that while this movie didn’t ultimately rock my world, I am glad to have checked it out.

Flash Review: Namiya [Miracles of the Namiya General Store] [China] [Movie]

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! 🧨 If you’re looking for a holiday movie for the festive season, this one just might fit the bill.

It’s a heartwarming Hallmark-esque sort of story, with a fantasy twist. Not your typical holiday movie, in that sense, but with enough of the cozy, poignant, warming feels that you’d tend to want, from a holiday movie, to make it a contender for your holiday screen time.

Flash Review: Reincarnation Love [Mini Drama]

Shout-out to Cure or fire, who was the one who let me know that Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si were reuniting for this tiny little mini drama. Before that, I’d had no idea that Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si were reuniting for anything at all, so this was a welcome bonus.

Sure, fans of Youth Of May who were waiting for this reunion with bated breath, are now crying foul, because instead of a drama special of some sort, of an hour or more, it’s turned out to be an itty-bitty 6-minute beer commercial. Ha. I can see why that would feel deflating. 😝

Honestly, though, I kinda love it, for what it is. 😁
