Patreon Year End Awards: Elaine’s Year In Dramas 2024!

It’s officially EOY season, which is when we look back on our drama years, and decide which dramas were worthy of our love, and which dramas we maybe shouldn’t have spent as much time on, as we did. 😁

As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2025, after all the guest posts have been published.

This way, by putting all our experiences together, we get a more wholistic view of Dramaland in 2024. Pretty great, yes? 🤩

If you missed our earlier posts, you can check them out here: Sean, Deni+JJ, Natalia, Ele, j3ffc, MC.

Today, I’m pleased to announce that Elaine’s sharing her drama year!

I’ve told you guys about what a hardworking, full life Elaine tends to lead, but this year, I wanted to add on that the thing that really stands out to me, as I get to know her better, is that through it all, Elaine manages to maintain a warmth and generosity that I find truly impressive.

Even when she’s juggling a schedule that would make most people’s eyes glaze over, she manages to still prioritize being sensitive, considerate and empathetic, while retaining a sense of humor too, and that’s no small deal, as far as I’m concerned. 🥲

Thank you Elaine, for making time to write, and also, for making time to hang out with us!

If you’d like to read more of Elaine’s writing, you might like to check out her EOY post from last year here, &/or her insightful reflections on doppelgängers and the question of identity, which you can check out here.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Patreon Year End Awards: Elaine’s Year In Dramas 2023!

Hey everyone!

Like what we did for the past couple of years, we’re having guest posts from the lovely folks on Patreon, to help us take stock of our drama years, yay! 🥳

We’ll be seeing about 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2023, and that’s perfectly ok.

My annual year-in-review, which usually comes out in December, will also come out in January (or thereabouts 😅), after all the guest posts have been published.

If you missed our earlier posts, you can check them out as follows: Ele, Natalia, JJ, Sean, j3ffc, Uyen, MC.

Today, I’m pleased to announce that Elaine is sharing her drama year.

You know that Korean phrase 열심히 살아 (yeolsimhi sal-a), which literally means to live hardworking-ly?

Well, I feel that that’s what Elaine does, because she’s got so much going on, in the multiple roles that she plays, in her life.

With work, family, kids, friends, a dog, and everything else in-between, Elaine’s got a lot going on, and I’m so grateful that she continues to make time for dramas – and for us! – in the midst of it all.

Not only that, she also makes time to remind me not to push myself too much, and often gives me suggestions on how to do things in a way that would allow me to be kinder to myself. Thank you, Elaine. 🥲

If you’d like to read more of Elaine’s writing, she wrote a wonderfully insightful post about doppelgängers and the question of identity, which you can check out here.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Today, I’m pleased to announce that Elaine is sharing her drama year!

Elaine’s a busy lady who juggles motherhood AND a full-time job with her love for dramas, so I’m really grateful that she carved time out of her hectic schedule, to make time for this post!

I am also grateful to Elaine for not only being so positive and thoughtful in her comments, but also, for always reminding me to pace myself, and not work too hard. Thank you, Elaine! 🥰😘

Guest post: Doppelgängers and the Question of Identity

Hi everyone!

Today, we have a very special guest post, brought to us by Elaine.

I love how Elaine has synthesized her reflections on The Crowned Clown, Are You Human Too, and Someday Or One Day, into this wonderfully thoughtful and personal musings piece, about the question of identity.

There are major spoilers in this post, for all 3 shows, and what I’d like to say about that, is, 1, all 3 shows are really good, so if you haven’t seen any of them, I do recommend them! And 2, Elaine’s piece is so lovely, that I’d even suggest completing any of these shows that you haven’t seen yet – so that you can come back to read what Elaine has to say.

Thank you so much, Elaine, for offering to write this piece, and for sharing your reflections in such an honest, raw and thoughtful manner. It is our privilege, to step into your heart, a little bit, via this post. ❤️

I hope you guys enjoy!
