This movie is one that I’ve been meaning to watch, ever since it came out, because if you’ve been around the blog long enough, you’d likely know that I have had a soft spot for Kim Woo Bin for quite some time.
Besides the chance to have Woob on my screen, though, I really did find this show’s premise and trailers quite interesting and appealing.
Now that I’ve finished my watch, I can say that while this one didn’t exactly blow my socks off, there was enough here to enjoy, that I don’t regret having spent the time on it.
Prettily filmed, with a purposefully told story, and a solid cast that delivers strong performances, Blossom is a mid-budget drama that bats above its weight.
I found it nicely engaging from the start, and I was most taken by the burgeoning OTP connection, which boasts a good amount of electric spark, particularly in Show’s first half.
Perhaps most surprising of all, is that Show manages to stick the landing in a way that feels satisfying, and makes sense.
We’ve got one more EOY to wrap up the drama year that was 2024 – surprise? 😁
Trent‘s EOY would have come out earlier, but he came down with a nasty bug while writing, that put him out of action for a bit.
I’m so glad that he decided to finish writing his EOY, nonetheless, and here it is! YAY! 🥳
I’ve said this before, but Trent and I often agree on dramas (though he definitely has a greater appetite and endurance for darker, bloodier fare 😅), so reading his post definitely makes me want to add to my never-ending list of shows that I would be interested to check out.
Trent also writes about dramas on his own blog, which you can visit here.
Thanks Trent, for taking the time to write this post! 😘
If you’ve been waiting for this year-in-review to come out, thank you for your patience. 🥰
This year, we’ve had 10 guest year-end wrap posts (they’re all listed here!), with one more still on the way; yes, our friends on Patreon have been very generous in sharing their drama years! 🥲
Now, it’s my turn to share my drama year, and I hope you guys find it worth the wait. 🥲
This was a show that I’d very much been looking forward to, from the very minute I first set my eyes on the trailer that Netflix released – BUT. As it turns out, Show is not at all what I’d expected it to be.
Talk about having the wrong expectations! 😅
Did I still like it in the end, and would I recommend it? I’m gonna hafta say that the answer is, that it’s complicated. 😅
At just 14 episodes of only 30 minutes each, a premise that sounded tropey-but-cute, and a good-looking pair of leads, I thought this little show would be a shoo-in as a great little drama nightcap for me.
In the end, I enjoyed this less than I’d hoped, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you wouldn’t like this one.
Here’s the quick review to lay it all out, so that you’ll hopefully be able to figure out if this one could be for you.
My friends, this is the review that almost never was, not because I almost didn’t watch this show, but because I wasn’t sure how to go about this review, and I almost gave myself permission to just.. not write it a review. 😅 Almost.
If you’ve seen the show, you might have an inkling of why I feel like this isn’t a straightforward review to write, heh.
In the end, though, I thought that there would still be value in adding my two cents to the collective wisdom of the drama community, so here I am.
It’s officially EOY season, which is when we look back on our drama years, and decide which dramas were worthy of our love, and which dramas we maybe shouldn’t have spent as much time on, as we did. 😁
As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2025, after all the guest posts have been published.
This way, by putting all our experiences together, we get a more wholistic view of Dramaland in 2024. Pretty great, yes? 🤩
Today, I’m pleased to announce that TopTeenu’s sharing her drama year!
You might recall that TopTeenu was one of my blogoversary giveaway winners last month? Well, she’s settled in suuuper well over on Patreon, and is now even sharing her drama year with us! Woot!

Today, I’m pleased to announce that Diasporic Chick’s sharing her drama year!
Diasporic Chick’s been a part of our little Patreon community for a while, but rarely has time to hang out with us, due to all the other commitments she has, just living life.
So, this EOY post feels like a nice chance to catch up with what’s been going on with her, I feel like.
Thanks Diasporic Chick, for taking the time to share your drama year! 😘

Today, I’m pleased to announce that ABV’s sharing his drama year!
In the last year or so since ABV’s joined our Patreon community, I’ve been marveling at both the quantity and quality, in his drama watching prowess.
He’s able to watch a truckload of dramas – and, in his comments, demonstrates that he’s engaged with these dramas, in both heart and mind. That’s quite a talent, in my books – especially since he does actually work full-time, as well.
I think he just might be a space-time bender, kinda like Sean. 😁
If you’d like to read more of ABV’s writing, you might like to check out his EOY post from last year here.
