Exactly 12 years ago, on 12.12.12, I started this blog, and now, my little blog that I’d started on a whim, is not so little anymore. 🥲

We’re TWELVE, my friends! 😱

That’s crazy, and amazing, and I’m not actually sure what to say, to mark the occasion, you guys. 😅

Taking stock of last year’s resolution

If you were around when we celebrated the blog turning 11 last year (here!), you might recall that my big resolution, at the time, was to be more present with you guys in the comments, both here on the main blog, as well as on Patreon.

I’d said that I missed the sense of community that had first drawn me into the blogging space, as a reader-turned-commenter-turned-blogger, and my hope was that, as I spent more time hanging out with you guys, I’d come to experience more of that sense of community that I’d missed out on, while burying myself in writing reviews and rushing deadlines.

12 months later, I can say that I have been enjoying hanging out with you guys more, in the comments.

I do still flub and disappear for a while sometimes, because, can’t lie, there’s A LOT that needs to get done, to keep everything running, and I sometimes struggle to stay on top of it all.

When that happens, I do tend to bury myself in work, to get stuff done, but ultimately, I do find my way back to hanging out with you guys again. 🥰

And, I do think that I’ve arrived at a much healthier, more balanced place, overall, not just in terms of how hard I work, but also, how much I take care of myself.

Thank you, everyone, especially everyone on Patreon, for cheering me on, and being patient with me. 🥰🥲
