The more I get to know j3ffc, the more I’m impressed with how talented and creative he is (don’t let his self-deprecating humor fool you! 😁).

I’ve also realized that one of the big reasons he keeps blowing me away with his hidden talents is that he’s a great learner. If he’s curious about something, he pursues it and figures out whatever he needs to know along the way — and we get to benefit from the sidelines. 😁

He manages to watch a literal ton of dramas, despite having a full-time job and other interests – AND while getting a reported full 7 hours of sleep every night! I have no idea how he does it, but I’m glad we get to benefit from his drama adventures, in the form of this EOY post. 😁

This whole thing started years ago when Shahz casually said, “Hey, let’s share our drama years in the chat corner!” — and instead of devolving into complete chaos (as I secretly feared), it blossomed into one of the loveliest traditions we have. 🥲

Now you guys keep notes all year, plan your categories, and even tease your upcoming EOY posts months in advance (!!). My heart. 😭💛

I’m so excited to kick off this year’s series. You guys always bring such heart, humor, honesty, and community spirit – and I can’t wait for everyone to read what you’ve lovingly put together.

As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2026, after all the guest posts have been published. Guest Post – Flash Review: Glass Heart [Japan]

Surprise, everyone!

We have a guest review today, by none other than our very own j3ffc! 🥳

Basically, what happened was, j3ffc wrote some very insightful remarks in one of our chat corners over on Patreon, specifically the October Deep Dive, and I loved what he had to say.

Not only is dear j3ffc an actual fan of J-rock, he even has experience interacting with geniuses in real life, and I could think of no one else who would be able to give us as informed an opinion on Glass Heart, as he. 🤩

Patreon Year End Awards: Trent’s Year In Dramas 2024!

We’ve got one more EOY to wrap up the drama year that was 2024 – surprise? 😁

Trent‘s EOY would have come out earlier, but he came down with a nasty bug while writing, that put him out of action for a bit.

I’m so glad that he decided to finish writing his EOY, nonetheless, and here it is! YAY! 🥳

I’ve said this before, but Trent and I often agree on dramas (though he definitely has a greater appetite and endurance for darker, bloodier fare 😅), so reading his post definitely makes me want to add to my never-ending list of shows that I would be interested to check out.
