There’s something about the start of a new year that makes me want to pause, take a breath, and look ahead — and that’s very much the spirit of this post.
Things around here are easing into a new rhythm, and it feels like a good moment to share what this month looks like on Patreon.
Think of this as a little map of what’s unfolding right now: what I’m currently watching and covering, what might be coming next, and how things are shaping up as we move into the year together. 🥰
Today I’m sharing my episode 3–4 notes on Dynamite Kiss, as an example of what my episode notes tend to look like once I’m a little further into a show.
By this point, I’m usually past first impressions and more focused on character dynamics, genre conventions, emotional beats, and how everything is landing together — which is very much the case here.
These notes are shared here exactly as they appear on Patreon (without screenshots, which I save for the full review).
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about romance in dramas — why some love stories not only work really well, but linger long after a show ends, while others fade (sometimes while we’re still watching them! 🙊).
In this voice note, I talk through a few patterns I’ve noticed over time, looking at what the most memorable drama romances tend to share in common.
I watched the opening episodes of Surely Tomorrow, and I wanted to capture some early impressions — the things that worked for me, as well as the things that didn’t, while they were still fresh.
I hope you’ll have fun listening along with my perspectives on this one. 😊
(I’ve kept this fairly spoiler-lite, but I do talk about events in Episodes 1 & 2 in broad terms.)
As we near the close of 2025, I wanted to share an update about my Patreon page — and give you a little advance notice before a few changes take effect in January.
Over the past year, I’ve been observing and thinking about how people actually use Patreon — what you’re most interested in, how you engage with the notes and discussions, and what helps this space feel sustainable and enjoyable over time.
That reflection has led me to make a few adjustments, aimed at keeping things sustainable, clear, and enjoyable — for you, and for me — as we move into 2026. 🥰
It’s that time of year again — when we take a deep breath, look back on our 2025 drama adventures, and realize… wow, we really did have a lot of feelings™. 😂
Welcome to this year’s End-of-Year Patreon Awards! This tradition began years ago with a casual suggestion in our chat corner, and it’s since grown into one of the warmest, most spirited things we do together. 🥲
Each entry is written by a member of our lovely Patreon community, sharing their drama year in their own voice — with heart, humor, honesty, and plenty of feels.
If you missed our earlier posts, you can check them out as follows: Natalia, Kumari.
Today, Ele is sharing her drama year – and if you know Ele at all, you probably wouldn’t be surprised in the least, that her drama year was largely centered around her one and only Liu Yu Ning! 🤭
I giggled a lot, reading this piece about her year in Liu Yu Ning, and I’m pretty sure you all would have fun with it too! 😁
If you like Ele’s style and want to know what she thought about dramas last year, you can check out her post here!

Today, Kumari is taking the stage, and I can’t wait for you to read what she’s put together.
Kumari might be a little newer to our Patreon community, but it already feels like she’s been one of us forever.
I love Kumari’s brightness and enthusiasm, and I also love how expressive she is in her writing. I hope you enjoy her EOY post as much as I did!
If you’d like to read more of Kumari’s writing, you can visit her personal blog here.

Welcome to this year’s End-Of-Year Patreon Year-End Awards!
This whole thing started years ago when Shahz casually said, “Hey, let’s share our drama years in the chat corner!” — and instead of devolving into complete chaos (as I secretly feared), it blossomed into one of the loveliest traditions we have. 🥲
Now you guys keep notes all year, plan your categories, and even tease your upcoming EOY posts months in advance (!!). My heart. 😭💛
I’m so excited to kick off this year’s series. You guys always bring such heart, humor, honesty, and community spirit – and I can’t wait for everyone to read what you’ve lovingly put together.
As before, we’ll be seeing up to 2 guest posts per week, and this will unfold into January 2025, and my annual year-in-review will come out in early 2026, after all the guest posts have been published. This way, by putting all our experiences together, we get a more wholistic view of Dramaland in 2025. Pretty great, yes? 🤩
Today, I’m pleased to announce that Natalia’s kicking things off for us, in sharing her drama year!
If you’ve read Natalia before, you might already know that she’s super forthright and makes acerbic wit look extremely effortless, while often being laugh-out-loud funny.
I had a great time reading her EOY entry this year, and I’m sure you will too!

Happy DECEMBER, my friends! 🤗 It’s time to take stock of our years – dramas and otherwise – and start looking forward to the new year! 2026 is almost here, y’all! 😱
In this month’s post, I touch on:

2. Which Patreon-related reviews are due this month;
3. What shows I’m considering for coverage on Patreon, to replace shows that have completed their cycles, and
4. What you can expect, as a member on Patreon.
I hope you guys find this helpful &/or informative, and I hope you’ll consider supporting me on Patreon! ❤️
