What’s Changing in January (and a Legacy Price Window)

As we near the close of 2025, I wanted to share an update about my Patreon page — and give you a little advance notice before a few changes take effect in January.

Over the past year, I’ve been observing and thinking about how people actually use Patreon — what you’re most interested in, how you engage with the notes and discussions, and what helps this space feel sustainable and enjoyable over time.

That reflection has led me to make a few adjustments, aimed at keeping things sustainable, clear, and enjoyable — for you, and for me — as we move into 2026. 🥰

🎯 What’s changing on January 1, 2026

Starting January 1, I’ll be rolling out an updated Patreon structure. This includes:

adjusted tier pricing
clearer tier boundaries
and the introduction of a new Backstage Pass tier, designed for readers who enjoy being part of the community and following along — without unlocking full, ongoing drama coverage

The goal isn’t to add more stuff, but to make the structure better reflect how the space is actually used — and to protect the time and energy that go into long-form notes, voice notes, and ongoing discussion.

I’ll share a full overview in a bit, for those who want to look closely.

(If you’re already a patron, you’ll be grandfathered automatically — I’ll explain how this works below.)

💌 A note of thanks — and a Legacy Price Lock window

Before the new structure goes live, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported this space over the past many years. 🥲

From 27–31 December 2025, I’ll be running a Legacy Price Lock window.

During this period, anyone who joins (or upgrades) can lock in current tier pricing before the 2026 pricing takes effect on January 1.

There’s absolutely no pressure to change anything — this window simply exists for those who’ve been considering joining or adjusting their tier and would like to do so under the current structure. ❤️

Note:

Backstage Pass is the only entirely new tier, with a slightly different scope from Foundation Tier.
First Take Club continues the same perks as legacy Ultimate Early Access.

🔔 A few important notes

Grandfathering:
Existing patrons keep their current tier, price, and perks. Nothing is taken away, and nothing changes unless you choose to switch.
Switching tiers:
New members — or patrons who choose to switch tiers after January 1 — will move onto the 2026 structure.
À la carte access:
Episode notes and voice notes will continue to be available individually, though memberships remain the easiest way to follow along over time.

2. Do current patrons need to do anything?

No. You’re grandfathered automatically.

3. Can I switch tiers later?

Yes — if you choose to switch after 1 January 2026, you’ll move onto the new pricing and structure.

4. When does Backstage Pass begin?

1 January 2026.

5. Will grandfathered patrons get the new Backstage Pass perks?

Yes — with one exception.

If you are on any tier above Foundation, you’ll receive the new Backstage Pass perks, including the first two sets of episode notes per drama.
If you are currently on the Foundation tier, you’ll be grandfathered at your existing price and perks, unless you choose to switch.
