Welcome to the Spoiler Zone, everyone!
This is for those of you who want to discuss spoilers, from a “I’ve seen the show and WOW now I’m noticing all these other details in retrospect” sort of angle.
Here’s a Spoiler Zone for you to dig as deep as you’d like, into spoiler territory, WITHOUT the need for spoiler tags or other warnings.
My only request is, PLEASE BE EXTRA MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ARE COMMENTING. Meaning, please don’t get mixed up, and start talking spoilers in the Open Thread, which could seriously mar the watch experience for a new viewer, OR, a viewer who would really prefer to have the rewatch feel as fresh as possible.
Other than that, READER BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
For the main discussion of episodes 1 & 2, which only deals with spoilers up to the point of the group watch, go here.
ENJOY YOUR SPOILER ZONE, MY FRIENDS! ❤️
the main idea why to keep the baby (answer to your question), this is the way to get bom out of the house, out of the their son’s life (according to them she is not fit to be his wife, they are the ones to choose a wife for him) and out of the picture. separate mom and child is the first step. since dad is one of the most powerful attorneys there, he is convinced he can win a custody battle for the child on the premise that bom will not have the means to support this child, while they can and will provide the best future to the child. at first it’s a battle for power, as timescout described, but also if it’s their own blood, they can not let it go and they have to raise it according to their standards. later, both grandparents get really emotionally attached to this grandchild and a big part of this story circles around this issue, when it turns from an initial battle for power into an emotional power struggle. as you probably know the best is yet to come.
Yes. I remember that but, I thought it’s too soon in the storm for Crazy Parents to be thinking that way since they’re not even sure the baby is InSang’s.
o, these two, they planed out everything for them, their future grand kids and the grand kids of those future grand kids. you can be sure about that. so they know what they planed, what they need and what to do about it. so they have a plan a, plan b, and plan c. and no mistakes are allowed.
@beez, if i remember correct, there was a debate between students from different schools, that bom and in-sang participated, and that’s were these two met. in- sang was greatly impressed with her intellect, i think she came out on the top and may be even that’s how she got the scholarship to the camp. but that’s how their friendship and relationship started.
I vaguely do remember something like that. 👍
beez, they did send both of their kids to usa to study and this secretary was sent as a body guard and sort of “nanny” along with the kids. she lived with them there and basically took care of them. during that time they got pretty close, and that is why she was ready to help il sang. i do not think she went with him to the camp – many reasons. may be it was not allowed, all students came on their own. may be it would have been embarrassing if a young man/boy would have come with a chaperon. i do not know, but it seems he was there on his own.
maybe you’re right. There’s so much that I don’t remember other than Bom “adapting like a boss” and the parents both begrudgingly admiring how smart she is and having a hard time dealing with the fact that she’s smarter than In sang. Ha!
So most of my comments will be like a first-timer watching.

👍 Where mu button pushing emoji?
no idea what you are talking about. “mu” what’s that? and i am not into emoji’s at all, do not know them.
“Mu” was a typo for “my”; and you’re taking me to literal again 😄
when “mu” turned into it’s rightful “my”, it clarifies. i should have had the brains to pick up the typo, but i didn’t.
