Flash Review: Love To Hate You

I feel like “Your mileage may vary” is quite the understatement, with this show.

There are two main camps of viewers when it comes to this show, it seems like. One camp that loves it a great deal, and another that finds many things to be problematic, in this drama world.

Most of the time, when I lead with a statement like that about a show, I tend to fall squarely into the middle ground of finding it pretty ok, overall.

This time, however, I happen to have enjoyed this one much more than I’d originally expected to. Lens adjustments apply, of course, which I’ll talk about in a bit.

Flash Review: New Year Blues [Korea] [Movie]

Why am I watching an end-of-year festive movie at the end of August, you ask? Heh. You could say I’m gearing up early for the new year, or that I’m just suuuper late to the party. 😜

In all honesty, it’s just because I stumbled on this movie while browsing titles on iQIYI, and perked up at the sight of so many familiar faces. Which means I basically watched this for the reunion feels, didn’t I?

No matter, coz it was a pretty easy-breezy watch; a perfectly acceptable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Flash Review: The School Nurse Files

Let me be the first to say that I’m not sure I “get” this show, so this review will only be my best attempt at understanding this show.

I just.. was too curious about this one, after seeing the quirky trailers and posters, to pass it up.

To help us gain more insight and understanding into this show, Dame Holly, metaphor whisperer extraordinaire, who recently brought us a guest review of Greasy Melo, will be back to give us her take on this very different snowflake of a drama, probably in the next week or two. Stay tuned for that!
